Helen Scott Lidgett Award
2013/14
Jamie Hosegood is a visual artist who makes paintings using oil on canvas and paper. His works explore the actual substance of paint, the mechanics and activity of painting and how the medium can continue to engage with imagery, particularly photographic imagery, in the 21st century.
Jamie earned an MA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins in 2013. His work has been exhibited at Acme Project Space, 2014 and at APT Creekside Open, 2019.
Helen Scott Lidgett Award
The Helen Scott Lidgett Award was a partnership between Acme and Central Saint Martins, funded by Acme and the Helen Scott Lidgett Fund between 2013-19. Aiming to provide a bridge between art school and professional practice, the award included a generous bursary, rent-free studio space and mentoring programme. Recipients of Acme’s Early Career Awards Programme work from shared studios in order to encourage an environment of peer support and critical dialogue.
